Green Screen Services
Professional chroma key filming for VFX and compositing across Peru.
Green screen filming uses chroma key backdrops to isolate subjects. Post teams then composite them against virtual backgrounds, environments, or visual effects. This technique sits at the heart of modern filmmaking. Peru is best known for its varied locations from coast to Andes to Amazon. Even so, it offers strong chroma key services through Lima-based production houses. These houses stock well-equipped gear, including Russian Arms, Techno Cranes, and Shotover rigs.
We build green screen setups with APU Productions, Chita Films, and GoPeruFilms in Lima. Peru has no major soundstage complexes, so most chroma key work runs on flexible production spaces and portable rigs. Our team sources cyclorama backdrops, portable green screens, and the special lighting that clean chroma key work needs. Footage then hands off straight to Makaco, Peru's top VFX house for advertising and cinema. Maneki Studio and Gamma Post House then handle compositing, animation, grading, and character work.

Chroma key stages at Cinesphere and Tondero Studios in Lima
Green screen filming in Peru centres on the Lima studio network. Cinesphere leads as the country's main chroma key site, with LED and XR development on the roadmap. Tondero Studios anchors the rest of the home stage base. APU Productions, Chita Films and GoPeruFilms add to that core with flexible production-space rigs and cyclorama walls. Their portable green-screen kits also handle location chroma key work across the capital's Miraflores, San Isidro and Barranco districts.
Sacred Valley LED-volume skill is emerging after Wiñaypacha and the wider Andean feature wave. Cusco-region producers are building partnerships with Mediaset and Sky LATAM for virtual-set work when a brief calls for it. Peru does not run major Cinecittà-scale soundstage complexes, so most chroma key shoots blend studio capture with the country's varied locations. Crews composite Andean exteriors and Amazon canopy plates against in-studio talent performance. The operator pool runs deep. It draws on Russian Arm-equivalent cranes, Techno Cranes and Shotover-equivalent stabilised heads, imported per project from Brazil and Chile when a brief demands.
Clean keys depend on even backdrop lighting, careful talent separation and tight spill control. Our Peruvian gaffers bring that experience from the Asu Mare comedy series, Magallanes feature post pipelines and the Llosa magical-realist unit work. Much of that work has passed through Lima. Lighting packages run flicker-free HMI and tunable LED units from ARRI SkyPanel, Aputure 600x and Creamsource Vortex stocks. Colour science ties to the downstream pipeline, and reference charts get shot at each camera reset.
Tracking markers, reference photography and HDRI capture are all handled at the plate stage. Footage then flows into the Peruvian VFX pipelines at Makaco, Peru's top VFX house for advertising and cinema. Maneki Studio handles compositing and character animation, while Gamma Post House takes on grading and finishing. Cloud-based VFX workflows are now emerging through the Lima houses. IGV at 18% applies to local invoicing, and SUNAT carnet records cover imported chroma-key lighting and rigging. DAFO and Ministerio de Cultura support is secured for qualifying shoots through delivery and final audit certification.
FAQ
Chroma Key Expertise
Do you provide green screen studios?
Peru has no major soundstage complexes, so we partner with APU Productions, Chita Films, and GoPeruFilms in Lima. These partners give you chroma key-ready production spaces. For big stage work, most shoots pair Peru's varied locations with flexible studio setups.
Can you set up green screens on location?
Yes, we offer portable green screen solutions, including pop-up backgrounds, fabric screens, and mobile lighting kits. Our crew can build chroma key setups in almost any Peruvian spot with the right space and power.
What about blue screen vs green screen?
We work with both green and blue screens, based on your needs. Blue screen often wins for blonde hair or scenes with green elements. Our team advises you around your compositing plan and VFX pipeline.
How do you ensure clean keys?
Clean keys need even lighting on the background, good separation from talent, spill control, and sharp edge quality. Our Peruvian teams know these needs and set up with care for clean compositing at local VFX houses.
Do you coordinate with VFX supervisors?
Yes, we work closely with your VFX team, whether in-house or at Peruvian houses like Makaco, Maneki Studio, or Gamma Post House. Our crews then capture tracking markers, reference photography, HDRIs, and clean plates.
What resolution and formats do you support?
We shoot green screen in formats up to 8K, based on your camera choice. Our team makes sure the footage meets the resolution and codec needs of your post-production pipeline.
