Motion Control Services
Robotic precision cinematography for VFX, commercials, and complex productions.
Motion control systems use computer-driven camera rigs to run precise, repeatable moves. They are key for visual effects compositing, multi-pass photography, car commercials, and tabletop product shots. Any sequence that must repeat the exact same move across many takes or elements needs these rigs. Lima is Peru's hub for commercial work, and Lima-based firms stock strong gear for high-end ads, including Russian Arms, Techno Cranes, and Shotover.
We source motion control rigs and skilled operators across Peru, working with service firms like APU Productions, Chita Films, and GoPeruFilms. While Peru has no major soundstage complexes, our crew handles gear imports via ATA Carnet, location work, and tech support, so your sequences are captured smoothly and repeat exactly.

Robotic precision for Peruvian pisco, retail and tabletop
Motion control rigs answer one demanding need: identical, frame-accurate camera moves repeated across many passes. That serves VFX compositing, multi-element photography, automotive tabletops, and the high-end product cinematography shot out of Lima for Inca Kola, Pilsen Callao, Cusqueña, Pisco Tabernero, Pisco Portón, Backus, Field, Gloria, Tottus, Plaza Vea and Wong.
Peru keeps no permanent stock of large-format motion-control systems. Mark Roberts Milo, Bolt and Bolt X arms are imported per project from Filmotechnik São Paulo, Cinesphere Buenos Aires or Argentine brokers. Our crew sets up the ATA Carnet, SUNAT clearance and DGAC forms through Jorge Chávez to land the rig in Lima for the shoot window. Smaller tabletop systems and Modula-class multi-axis rigs are ready in the capital itself, through APU Productions, Chita Films, GoPeruFilms and the specialty rental brokers around San Isidro and Miraflores. These firms also hold the Russian Arm, Techno Crane and Shotover heads that automotive and beverage briefs call for.
Pre-visualisation sits at the heart of the workflow, because every imported-rig day on the floor is costly. Our crew maps camera paths in software, times them against animatics, and signs them off before stage time is spent. This lets DPs and clients refine the moves before talent or product reaches the Lima soundstage.
On the day, frame-accurate repeats deliver each pass the VFX team needs — hero takes, clean plates, lighting passes, multi-pass element photography, time-slice sequences and matched moves. Motion data, camera tracking metadata and lens metadata are exported alongside the footage as OpenEXR or ProRes deliverables. Our team works directly with Lima's VFX houses — Makaco, Maneki Studio and Gamma Post House — and aligns schedules with DAFO and Ministerio de Cultura sign-ups, IGV 18% invoicing, ANACTP-aligned crew rates and the competitive non-union 12-to-14-hour day Peru offers.
Operators come from the Lima commercial pool. Their credits span pisco and beer campaigns, Inca Kola and Backus tabletops, retail spots for Tottus and Plaza Vea, and the Latin American brand work that fills the schedule between feature and series visits.
FAQ
Robotic Camera Expertise
What is motion control filming?
Motion control uses computer-driven robotic camera rigs that run precise, repeatable moves. This lets you repeat the exact same move across many passes, which is key for VFX compositing. It also enables moves too fast or too precise for a human operator.
When should I use motion control in Peru?
Motion control suits VFX-heavy shoots that mix studio work with Peru's iconic locations. It also fits automotive commercials in Lima and product work for Latin American brands. Any sequence that needs frame-accurate repeats across many passes is a strong fit.
What systems do you provide in Peru?
We work with major motion control systems, either ready in Lima or imported via ATA Carnet. These include MILO for large-scale moves, Bolt high-speed robotic arms, Modula rigs, and smaller tabletop systems. Selection depends on the scale, speed, and payload of your shot.
Can motion control work with high-speed cameras?
Yes, motion control rigs like Bolt are built for high-speed work, running fast programmed moves with high-frame-rate cameras. This creates the dramatic speed-ramped shots you often see in commercials shot across Peru's many settings.
How do you handle multi-pass shooting?
We program moves that repeat exactly for each pass — talent pass, clean plate, lighting elements, and so on. The precision of motion control keeps every element aligned in compositing, backed by Lima's growing VFX talent.
What about smaller tabletop work?
We provide smaller motion control rigs for tabletop, product, and food photography. These rigs deliver the same repeatability and precision, at a scale suited to Peruvian pisco, food, and consumer goods brands.
