On Location
Scripted series across Peru's colonial cities, Andean highlands and contemporary Lima
Peruvian scripted drama has grown through the work of Tondero Producciones, Big Bang Films, Inca Producciones and Maretazo Cine. This group made Asu Mare, the country's biggest box-office hits. The same producers now make the streaming originals ordered by Netflix Latin America, Movistar Play and Claro Video.
We provide production support for drama series shooting on Peruvian soil. Our crews draw on department heads from the Tondero entertainment slate and the TV network teams at Latina, América and ATV. Regional crews come through the Ministerio de Cultura and the DAFO (Dirección del Audiovisual, la Fonografía y los Nuevos Medios) office. Multi-episode scheduling spans Lima's historic centre, Miraflores, Barranco and San Isidro. It reaches the colonial streets of Cusco and Arequipa, the Sacred Valley, Trujillo's Chan Chan area, and the Amazon basin around Iquitos and Puerto Maldonado.
Period drama leans on Peru's deep colonial and pre-Columbian heritage. Cusco brings its Spanish-Inca build style, Arequipa its sillar-stone monasteries, and Lima its Casa de Aliaga and Plaza Mayor. The Quechua and Aymara highland villages anchor stories from the Wiñaypacha custom through Melina León's Canción sin nombre. We work with costume houses and prop suppliers across the capital and other cities. Historical consultants from PUCP and Universidad de Lima keep the Viceroyalty, Republican and twentieth-century periods accurate.
Today's series shoot across the urban Lima districts that define modern Peruvian drama. INC and Ministerio de Cultura permits cover protected heritage zones, and SERNANP clearances cover natural reserves. Global co-productions run through Ibermedia and treaties with Argentina, Spain and Brazil. Our team supports trilingual crews bridging Spanish, Quechua and English. We also handle the 18 percent IGV and the soles-based budget admin these deals need.
