Location agreements in Peru sit where three legal forces meet. They are the Peruvian Civil Code, the Ley General del Patrimonio Cultural de la Nación, and the rights that INC holds over the country's archaeological and heritage estate.

A Miraflores apartment shoot needs only a simple property contract under civil code. A Centro Histórico facade in Lima or Cusco needs layered sign-offs from the city film office and the heritage authority. A sequence at Machu Picchu, Kuelap, Chan Chan, or the Nazca Lines runs through INC. Site-specific filming protocols and image-rights terms then reach into post and distribution. Covered areas — Manú, Tambopata, Paracas, Ballestas — bring SERNANP into the contract chain. Our location team has logged more than three thousand signed agreements across these types. Our average fifteen-percent negotiated saving against owner asking rates rests on years of working relationships in Barranco, San Isidro, the Sacred Valley, and the Amazon basin.

Our process starts with a location-by-location review of your shotlist. We map each authority and rights holder tied to each site, then draft bilingual agreements that satisfy the Peruvian Civil Code, INC heritage terms, and the insurance needs of Rímac Seguros, Pacífico Seguros, or Mapfre Perú entertainment policies. We negotiate fees in soles or USD, structure deposits and damage terms against IGV invoicing at 18%, and add altitude-related crew-safety language for high-elevation locations. Standard production assumptions do not apply there.

Standard agreements turn around within forty-eight hours. Heritage and SERNANP-linked contracts take longer to match the base permit cycles. We keep signed agreements in secure storage with on-set verification copies. Our team stays reachable for any owner question during the shoot.
