In Peru, 360-degree video production draws on the country's most photographed heritage and natural sites. Local crews already shoot tourism, hospitality and heritage VR content. PromPerú destination campaigns, Belmond and Inkaterra spherical tours of the Sacred Valley and the Hiram Bingham route, and Ministerio de Cultura virtual-access programmes for closed parts of Machu Picchu and Chan Chan have grown a Lima-based pool of 360 operators. That pool works through APU Productions, Chita Films and GoPeruFilms.
Capture systems run Insta360 Pro 2 and Titan rigs, GoPro MAX arrays, and Z CAM K2 Pro multi-camera builds. For higher-resolution VR work, we assemble bespoke nine-camera rigs — the kind commissioned by the National Geographic and BBC nature units that pass through Iquitos, Manú and Tambopata. Ambisonic capture through Sennheiser Ambeo and Zoom H3-VR units anchors the spatial sound mix. High-altitude work at Cusco's 3,400m and across the Cordillera Blanca passes above 4,500m builds battery life and crew acclimatisation into every schedule. Microsoft Mixed Reality Capture volumetric work and the tougher stereoscopic 360 builds stay partnered out through Brazil and Chile when a brief calls for them.
Our process starts with the delivery target — Meta Quest, Apple Vision Pro, YouTube VR or a custom WebXR build. From there, we work backward through stitching, nadir treatment and resolution targets before a single rig leaves the case.
Lighting design is key in 360 because the camera sees everything. Practical sources and hidden HMI units replace classic cinema lights on heritage interiors at the Cusco cathedral, the Larco Museum and the Casa de la Literatura. DAFO and Ministerio de Cultura permits run alongside SERNANP authorisation for the Manú, Tambopata and Paracas reserves. INC pre-approval covers heritage shoots at Machu Picchu, Caral and Kuelap, where rig concealment and careful framing protect the visitor experience.
Post stitching runs through Mistika VR and Insta360 Studio pipelines. Makaco and Maneki Studio handle the colour grade and nadir cleanup. For imported gear, we manage IGV 18% accounting and SUNAT carnet records. Final files export in monoscopic 8K equirectangular and stereoscopic side-by-side formats, each carrying the exact metadata that PromPerú, Belmond and global broadcast clients need.
