Cinema camera packages prepped and delivered across Peru

Camera gear rental in Peru routes through a defined set of Lima-based partners. Audiovisual Project Perú and Filmtek Perú are the dominant ARRI houses, while Cinesphere Rentals holds the wider narrative inventory. El Niño Rentals covers commercial and broadcast setups, and Tondero Rentals ties into the Tondero Studios production pipeline. RentCam Perú serves boutique drama, while Cinerental Perú and La Mecha handle documentary and indie features. Our team books across all these inventories to assemble the body, lens, support, and accessory stack a production actually needs.

ARRI Alexa Mini LF, Alexa 35, and Alexa Mini sit at the centre of the request list, along with RED V-Raptor, Komodo, and Helium and Sony Venice 2, FX9, FX6, and FX3. These bodies pair with Cooke S7/i and Anamorphic sets, Zeiss Supreme Primes, ARRI Signature Primes, Master Primes, and the Master Anamorphic glass that Peruvian features increasingly favour. Each package goes through logged prep at the Lima rental site before delivery. That prep covers sensor cleaning, lens calibration, logged firmware, conditioned batteries, and media formatted to the DIT's workflow.

Global shoots land most of their gear through Jorge Chávez Global Airport in Lima Callao. The same coordinator who books the rental processes the ATA Carnet records through SUNAT and handles Peruvian customs clearance.

Domestic freight runs through LATAM Cargo, Sky Cargo, and JetSmart Cargo for inter-city transfers. Runs from Lima to Cusco's Alejandro Velasco Astete Airport arrive next-day for Sacred Valley schedules. The capital also feeds Arequipa and Iquitos for Amazon and Andean unit bases. Hilux 4x4 or 6x6 transport covers the off-road runs into Manú, Tambopata, and the high-altitude locations where road access is tight.

PUCP-trained camera technicians and DITs work alongside DPs like Inti Briones, Mario Bassino, and Luis Otero Vega. Any of them can join the booking when you need prep support in Lima or on-set help at 3,400 metres in Cusco. Emergency replacement and cross-rental between partner houses run through the same coordinator. This matters when an Alexa Mini LF goes down on day three of a Sacred Valley schedule.

FAQ

Camera Rental Expertise

What camera systems are available in Peru?

We source all major cinema camera systems. ARRI options include the Alexa 35, Mini LF, and Alexa Mini. From RED, we carry the V-Raptor, Komodo, and Gemini. Sony bodies include the Venice 2, FX9, and FX6, and we also stock the Blackmagic URSA series plus Panavision DXL2 and Millennium cameras. Specialty cameras for high-speed, underwater, and aerial work are ready too.

How far in advance should I book camera equipment?

We suggest booking 2-4 weeks ahead for standard packages. Specialized gear or busy months like May to September need 4-6 weeks. However, we hold emergency stock and can often take last-minute requests through our rental network.

Do you provide camera technicians with rentals?

Yes. We can arrange qualified camera technicians, DITs, and prep staff to go with your rental. They cover on-set support, daily camera prep, data management, and troubleshooting throughout your production.

How do you handle equipment for international productions?

We handle all logistics for global shoots, including ATA carnet processing, customs records, and delivery planning. Our team manages the paperwork, so your gear clears smoothly into Peru.

What's included in camera prep?

Full camera prep covers sensor cleaning, lens calibration, testing of every part, firmware updates, battery conditioning, and cable and connector checks. We give detailed reports and make sure everything is production-ready.

Can you source specialty or vintage lenses?

Yes. We source specialty glass, including anamorphic lenses from Panavision, Cooke, and ARRI, plus vintage rehoused lenses and unique character glass. We also work with specialty rental houses across Europe to find the exact look you want.

Productions in Peru that need this often pair it with Camera Support Systems, Cinema Lens Kits, and Lens Filters for full coverage. Most projects also draw on Grip Equipment and Audio Equipment Rental.
