Medical Services
Pro on-set medical coverage keeping your Peruvian production crew safe and \t\t\t\t\t\tcompliant.
Peru brings unique health and safety challenges to film shoots. Crews face extreme altitude swings, tropical Amazon heat, and coastal desert. Shoots can range across Andes highlands, Amazon rainforest, the Pacific desert coast, and ancient ruins. Peru's EsSalud (Seguro Social de Salud) system and MINSA (Ministry of Health) occupational standards set clear rules for on-set medical cover that every production must meet. Our medical pros know these local needs and keep your crew safe, whether you film in Lima, Cusco, Arequipa, Trujillo, or at remote sites across the country.
We connect you with qualified medical pros who understand film production across Peru. Our network spans on-set medics, paramedics, and safety consultants. They know both Peruvian healthcare protocols and production workflows, so they deliver the right support from remote Amazon jungle and high-altitude Andes sites to major studio shoots.

Why Us
Why Choose Our Medical Services
01.
Local Health System Knowledge
Our medics know Peru's EsSalud (Seguro Social de Salud) system and MINSA (Ministry of Health) occupational standards. They make sure your production meets every local health and safety duty, and they handle Peruvian medical protocols with ease.
02.
Remote Location Medical Support
Our teams bring full medical skills to every site, from remote Amazon jungle to high-altitude Andes locations. We plan for longer response times and carry gear suited to Peruvian terrain.
03.
Climate-Specific Health Risks
Our medics are ready for severe altitude sickness in Cusco and the highlands, tropical diseases in the Amazon basin, extreme UV radiation at altitude, and limited medical setup in remote areas. Each risk assessment covers Peru's specific site-level challenges.
04.
Regulatory Compliance
Full compliance is built into every shoot. We follow Peruvian occupational safety rules (Ley 29783) and MINSA health needs for production crews. Our records meet both Peruvian regulatory standards and global shoots insurance standards.
On Location
Set medics built for altitude, jungle, and Pacific coast
On-set medical cover in Peru rests on a clear set of rules. Ley 29783 governs occupational safety, MINSA gives health-authority oversight, SCTR provides workplace insurance, and EsSalud (Seguro Social de Salud) sign-ups tie straight to the daily crew manifest filed by the production office. SUNAFIL labour inspection can land on any working day. Our medical pros work to all of it.
Our set medics are paramedic-trained and ACLS-certified. They come from Clínica Anglo-Americana, Clínica Internacional, and Clínica San Pablo in Lima, plus Clínica Pardo and Hospital Regional in Cusco. Response routes run to the capital trauma centres and the city regional referral hospitals.
We pre-coordinate the 116 SAMU ambulance service, 106 police line, and 115 fire service for each shoot day, and we map the hospital codes. For remote Andean and Amazon units, we arrange ASIS DGCA medevac in advance, so helicopter rendezvous and Lima evacuation routing are set before the first call sheet goes out. Risk assessments are written to Peruvian regulatory language and to global shoots insurance standards at the same time. This keeps the production carrier and the local MINSA inspector aligned on each shooting day.
The terrain shapes the cover.
Cusco sits at 3,400 metres, Sacred Valley days run 2,800 to 4,000 metres, and Lake Titicaca lies at 3,800 metres. The Cordillera Blanca peaks rise above 4,500 metres, the Colca Canyon rim sits at 3,200 metres, and La Rinconada climbs beyond 5,000 metres. All of these carry HACE and HAPE altitude-illness protocols. We keep supplemental oxygen on standby, advise Diamox prophylaxis in pre-production briefings, and build acclimatisation days into the schedule with Lima-first sequencing. Craft service stocks coca tea and mate de coca, and crew triage runs off the daily oximeter reading.
Amazon shoots out of Iquitos, Manú, Tambopata, and Pacaya-Samiria need yellow fever vaccination, malaria prophylaxis, and dengue and leishmaniasis awareness. We keep snakebite antivenom on standby and route river evacuations to Iquitos or Puerto Maldonado. Pacific coastal units carry UV-radiation protocols and rip-tide safety on surf-coast shoots. Lima urban shoots route hospital care through the capital district medical network with pre-cleared ambulance lanes. For stunt and special-effects sequences, we add boosted cover with extra paramedics. The records close back to SCTR, EsSalud, and the production accountant for the DAFO certification file.

FAQ
Medical Coverage Expertise
What are the health requirements for filming in Peru?
Peruvian occupational safety rules (Ley 29783) and MINSA health needs for production crews set clear rules for on-set medical cover. Productions with stunts, special effects, large crews, or remote locations need qualified medical staff. We make sure your shoot meets every Peruvian compliance standard, and we help you set the right level of cover.
Are vaccinations required for crew traveling to Peru?
Yellow fever vaccination is needed for Amazon regions. Altitude sickness medication is key for Cusco (3,400m) and highland shoots. We also advise Typhoid and Hepatitis A shots. Our pre-production health briefings cover every recommended step for your specific shooting sites.
How do emergency services work in Peru?
Dial 106 for police, 116 for ambulance (SAMU), and 115 for fire services, though response times run longer outside Lima. We set up emergency protocols before the shoot starts, with hospital routes, ambulance contacts, and evacuation plans for each location. For remote sites, we add extra medical supplies to cover the longer response times.
What insurance is needed for medical coverage in Peru?
Most productions need Global shoots medical insurance, with high-altitude cover, tropical disease provisions, and medical evacuation to Lima for remote sites. We help you pin down the exact needs and make sure your records meet both Peruvian regulatory standards and your insurer's terms.
Can you cover remote locations?
Yes, we cover remote and tough locations across Peru, from deep Amazon jungle to high-altitude Andes sites. We plan for longer response times and bring the right gear for isolated shoots.
What about stunt coverage?
For stunt work, we add extra medical cover with more staff and gear as needed. Our medics work with the stunt coordinators to learn the specific risks and prepare to match them.
