Peruvian location scouting covers three separate ecosystems.

Our scouts work the Pacific coast. That covers Paracas, Pisco, the northern surf coast around Máncora and Chicama, the Lima coastal cliffs at Miraflores, Barranco and Chorrillos, the Nazca Lines aerial corridor, and the Ica desert dunes. They know the Andean highlands just as well. This zone holds Cusco's colonial-Incan grid, Machu Picchu, and the Sacred Valley at Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Moray and Maras. It also holds Lake Titicaca with the floating islands of Uros and Taquile, plus Arequipa's white sillar stonework and Colca Canyon. Further north sit the Cordillera Blanca peaks at Huascarán and the Huayhuash range, the high puna of Junín, and the colonial mining towns of Cerro de Pasco. The Amazon basin completes the map, with Iquitos and the Pacaya-Samiria reserve, Puerto Maldonado and the Tambopata-Madre de Dios system, the Manú National Park, and the cloud forest at Kosñipata.

The scout database holds verified options across all three zones. It also covers the Incan and pre-Incan sites at Chan Chan in Trujillo, Caral in the Supe Valley, Kuelap in the Amazonas region, the Chavín de Huántar complex, and the Sechín ruins on the central coast.

Permit guidance is what makes the scouting workable.

Our scouts have built ties with the PromPerú Film Commission, the Lima Film Office, the Cusco regional film office, the Arequipa film office, and MINCETUR on the tourism-support side. They also work with INC central and the Dirección Desconcentrada de Cultura Cusco. These partners clear archaeological permits at Machu Picchu, Chan Chan, Caral, Kuelap, and the Sacred Valley sites, which carry 4-to-12-week lead times. SERNANP covers the natural areas at Manú, Tambopata, Paracas, and Pacaya-Samiria, while DGAC handles drone clearance with roughly 30-day processing. For Andean and Amazon indigenous areas, community-consent liaison falls under Ley 29785 and needs Quechua and Aymara bridge support, which is the difference between a workable scout and a closed door.

Visual options come back with full tech checks, access review, and altitude notes. Each one maps the weather window against the Andean rainy season and the Amazon dry season. Costs come framed in PEN soles, with IGV-invoiced records sent back to the production office for the DAFO Ley 26370 tax-credit certification file.
