Post-Production Supervisor Services

We manage post-prod across Peru, from Makaco VFX and Maneki Studio in Lima to Gamma Post House and new cloud-based workflows.

Peru's post-prod sector sits mostly in Lima. Makaco is the top VFX house, with Maneki Studio and Gamma Post House close behind. Together they handle VFX, animation, compositing, matte painting, grading, and character animation. Teams of 10+ artists work across advertising and cinema, with low pricing and cloud-based workflows on the rise. While Peru lacks major soundstage complexes, its post-prod skill keeps growing alongside the country's varied location-based production industry.

We connect you with post-prod supervisors who know Peru's post scene and the gains from Ibermedia deals. Our network brings skilled pros who bridge Lima-based facilities and global partners. They manage workflows that link location shooting from the Andes to the Amazon with finishing services. The masters they deliver meet global broadcast, streaming, and theatrical distribution specs.

On Location

Post supervisors fluent in DAFO certification and LATAM delivery

Peru's post-prod sector is based in Lima. Makaco is the top VFX house for advertising and theatrical cinema. Maneki Studio covers animation, compositing and motion, while Gamma Post House handles online and grading. In-house post departments round it out at Tondero, Big Bang, Cinesphere, Inca Producciones and Audiovisual Project Perú. Our post-prod supervisors come out of those rooms and know the colourists, VFX leads and sound designers by name.

Our supervisors run multi-vendor pipelines that span edit, colour, VFX, sound edit, ADR and final mix. They manage 4K and HDR finishing for streaming and broadcast. The team supervises Dolby surround mix stages in Lima and sets up DCP mastering for theatrical release. These masters serve the Peruvian and wider Latin American distribution chain. Schedules are written against picture-lock dates. Those dates must land cleanly inside the DAFO Ley 26370 grant and tax-credit certification workflow with the Ministerio de Cultura. That way, qualifying post-prod spend documents right through to the final certification file.

Day to day, the supervisor sits at the centre of the data flow. Our post supervisors set up dailies and review sessions between Lima edit rooms and the outside post houses. They manage shot tracking, version control and quality control across VFX vendors and freelance compositors. They also supervise sound edit and ADR sessions at the capital mix stages. The team holds the schedule against the final mix, online conform, HDR colour grade and SDR trim pass.

Broadcast masters go out to América Televisión, Latina, ATV and the Peruvian network chain, plus regional LATAM TV networks. DCPs go to the Peruvian theatrical chain via Cineplanet, Cinemark and UVK, and to global distributors through Ibermedia-supported routes. Streaming-specific deliverables go to Netflix LATAM, Disney+ LATAM, Amazon Prime LATAM, Apple TV+ and other sites, each with their own QC specs and IMF packaging.

Where the production carries an Ibermedia or bilateral co-production treaty plan, the supervisor structures the post spend to clear two checks. These plans cover the 1989 Latin American Co-Production Agreement plus the deals with Argentina, Spain, Brazil, Mexico and Colombia. The spend must pass both the DAFO certification and the points test that the Ministerio de Cultura reviews on final delivery. Cloud-based remote tools bridge global partners, while IGV-invoiced budgets in PEN soles close back to the production accountant.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What post-production facilities are available in Peru?

Peru's post houses sit mostly in Lima. Makaco leads as the top VFX house for advertising and cinema, joined by Maneki Studio and Gamma Post House. Skills span VFX, animation, compositing, matte painting, grading, and character animation, with teams of 10+ artists. Cloud-based workflows are now emerging, which lets houses work with global partners.

What delivery formats do Peruvian and Latin American distributors require?

Peruvian and Latin American distributors mostly need broadcast-standard masters, DCP for theatrical release, and platform-specific specs for streaming. A post-prod supervisor makes sure each deliverable meets MinCultura tech needs. The same masters also meet global distribution standards for both regional and global platforms.

Can post-production be managed remotely for Peruvian projects?

Yes, Peruvian post houses now support cloud-based remote workflows more and more. Supervisors link Lima-based teams with global partners. They manage the handoff from location shooting across Peru's varied terrain to finishing services. Cloud-based shared tools enable smooth remote VFX review, grading approval, and sound mix management.
