SCENE 01 / WIRELESS MICROPHONE SYSTEMS

Wireless Microphone Systems

Professional wireless audio for your Peruvian production.

Scroll

Wireless microphone systems capture audio without cables. Talent can move freely while the sound stays broadcast-quality. Modern digital wireless gives you a steady signal, a wide frequency range, and encryption. That keeps interference out in the busy RF settings you find on crowded sets.

We source and set up wireless microphone systems with the frequency bands and channel counts your production needs. Our team plans the range and keeps backup units ready. That way your sound department can work smoothly across many locations.

On Location

Wireless microphone systems coordinated for Peruvian spectrum

On a Peruvian production, wireless microphone systems live or die on how well you manage the range. Lima has a crowded broadcast scene, the 700 MHz band was reassigned years ago, and the MTC controls frequency licensing. So every transmitter has to be set up before it goes on talent.

Our inventory pulls more than two hundred wireless channels through Audiovisual Project Perú, El Niño Rentals, and the personal kits of senior Peruvian sound mixers. That mix includes Lectrosonics SMQV and SRc digital units, Wisycom MCR54 receivers paired with MTP41S transmitters for long-range work, and Sennheiser EW-DX for tight-budget documentary or commercial schedules. Capsules cover the full working range. We use DPA 4060 and 6060 subminiatures for hidden wardrobe rigs on principal cast. The Sanken COS-11D brings the warmth that Spanish-language dialogue tends to favour. The Countryman B6 gives hairline-thin placement on Sacred Valley exteriors, where wardrobe is part of the costume design.

Our team scans the location before the shoot and assigns clean channels inside the range the MTC licenses for production audio. We then write up the frequency plan for the wireless microphone, IEM, IFB, and wireless video crews working that same day. Antenna distribution and SMA cable runs are set up for the real coverage area. That means multi-receiver rigs for the long Sacred Valley exteriors at 3,000 metres, Wisycom MAT-91 multicouplers for the dense Centro Histórico de Lima sequences, and venue-specific antenna placement at Tondero Studios or Cusco unit bases.

Backup transmitters and receivers travel with every booking. Batteries are conditioned and labelled, and Peruvian PUCP-trained sound assistants handle the swap-outs through the day. Tech support runs across Lima, Cusco, Arequipa, and Amazon basin locations for the whole schedule.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What wireless systems do you recommend?

For pro narrative work, we suggest Lectrosonics Digital or Wisycom, which sound clean, stay reliable, and use the spectrum well. Zaxcom adds transmitters that can record on their own. On tight-budget shoots, Sennheiser EW-D gives great value.

How many wireless channels can you provide?

We can supply as many channels as your production needs, from a single transmitter to dozens of set-up channels for large-cast shoots. Our frequency planning keeps every channel free of interference.

What lavalier microphones do you stock?

We carry DPA 4060 and 6060 subminiatures, the Sanken COS-11D, the Sennheiser MKE series, and Countryman lavalieres. Each one has its own strengths for hiding the mic and shaping the sound.

How do you handle frequency coordination?

We scan your locations to find clean frequencies and set up every wireless system to avoid interference. That plan covers both your wireless mics and any other RF gear, such as wireless video or IEMs.

What about range and coverage?

Range depends on the system and the setting. We set up antenna distribution and RF cables to keep coverage steady across your shooting area. On large locations, we can add many receiver setups.

Do you provide backup equipment?

Yes. We suggest and can supply backup transmitters and receivers for longer shoots. Having a backup wireless rig protects your production if gear fails.

Productions in Peru that need this often pair it with Wireless Systems, Location Sound Packages, and Boom Microphones for full coverage. Most projects also draw on Communication Systems and Wireless Audio Systems.
